- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for 5 minutes.
Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size.
